The newly elected National Executive Council of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), led by the President, Amb. Sukubo Saraigbe Sukubo, on Friday held a special thanksgiving prayer at the National Mosque, Abuja, to express profound appreciation to the Almighty God for a successful elective congress and electoral victory.
Addressing journalists shortly after the prayer and thanksgiving session, the re-elected President, Amb. Sukubo, expressed gratitude to Nigerian youths for the confidence and trust reposed in him and the new leadership team during the National Elective Congress held on September 21, 2025, in Bayelsa State.
He emphasized that the renewed mandate comes with greater responsibility, while calling on stakeholders, youth leaders, and the generality of Nigerian youths to rally around the Council in advocating and implementing youth-oriented initiatives that would guarantee improved welfare and contribute to national development.
“The journey ahead demands unity, focus, and resilience. Together, we shall continue to champion the cause of the Nigerian youth and create platforms that will positively shape the future of our great nation,” he said.
The thanksgiving program is scheduled to continue on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre Headquarters, Abuja, as part of a two-fold interfaith expression of gratitude for the peaceful and successful conduct of the elections.
